Calling all lovers of art and food... and books! The long-anticipated next Artist Bailout event will take place on Saturday, May 26th from 6-9pm @ The Last Bookstore in Downtown, L.A.

Artist Bailout is an initiative to democratically fund new artwork by emerging artists in Los Angeles, CA, USA. The project produces public meals designed to solicit community-driven financial support for cultural production. These meals occur annually in the Los Angeles area and are produced in partnership with the Echo Park Time Bank. Patrons pay $10 for a meal and a ballot and during the meal artists present projects they would like to be founded. At the end of the meal, patrons vote for who should get the pot of money and two artists are awarded micro-grants.
